Three resorts in one ski area
With three major resorts to ski in Aspen, we will choose which resort is best for the day. On storm days Aspen Mountain is the best, with its 13-minute gondola ride from bottom to top, staying warm and dry while ripping up fresh tracks is ideal. When the storm clears and the classic Colorado blue skies take over, Aspen Highlands can’t be beat. Wide-open runs, breathtaking views, plenty of beginner and intermediate runs, and hike-accessible terrain that is some of the steepest in the state. With Snowmass being the largest of the four Aspen/Snowmass mountains, comprising 3,128 acres and huge wide-open slopes there is something for everyone in Aspen.
