We base out of the village of Hirafu, with fine dining, bars, shops and services. Japan is the place to be this \ February. Stop thinking about it and make it happen.
EXPERT SKIERS ONLY:
Extensive side-country skiing will take place daily in Niseko. Because we are skiing a volcano, we will hike, traverse and sidestep to access the powder stashes. Expert skills and stamina will be necessary to enjoy the experience.
HOKKAIDO, JAPAN
Experience the world-renowned Japanese powder you've always dreamed of. Hokkaido, famous for its exceptional powder skiing, lives up to its reputation. When Siberian weather systems collide with the Niseko range, light, dry powder blankets the slopes. Immerse yourself in the unmatched beauty of Hokkaido’s powder and see why it’s envied by skiers worldwide.
IWANAI RESORT
Nestled in a quiet coastal enclave where the Sea of Japan meets the land, Mount Iwanai rises majestically to 3,559 feet above the bay. A powder-rich mountain with open bowls, old-growth glades, and retired ski runs, Iwanai snowcat skiing offers 15,000 vertical feet per day and a 2,200-foot top-to-bottom descent. Just 57 miles from Sapporo, it remains remarkably untouched by the crowds, offering a rare sense of tranquility and authenticity, a true hidden gem of Hokkaido. Participants can enjoy highlights like old-growth tree skiing, steep glades, and challenging fall-line runs. With minimal traversing, you can experience full days of powder without repeating a line. Ski With Kim chooses Iwanai because it’s the best Hokkaido has to offer for snowcat skiing.
